"Out of Print" Exhibition
Opening Reception, Sunday, April 20
On loan from the Utah Arts Council, Out of Print represents 25 of Utah’s finest professional artists using the medium of printmaking to create lithographic, intaglio and relief prints. The scope of subjects in Out of Print is expansive. The western landscape, elements of the natural world, animal favorites, commonplace objects, the human figure and the role of symbolism are investigated.

Join printmaker Charles Morgan for a weekend workshop in intaglio and monoprint printing. Bring your prepared plates or work onsite to create beautiful drypoint etchings and monotypes. Space is limited.

Sci-fi
landscapes and robot dreams from this L.A.-based photographer and sculptor. Intermittent outdoor showings of classic sci-fi films will occur throughout the exhibition.

Wonder is a reverie straight from the mind’s eye. Wonder requires reverie, and reverie requires open mindedness, which is the suspension of all beliefs. This body of work was executed with Adobe® Photoshop®, which allows a form of photomontage that is perfect for illustrating my own sense of wonder. This exhibit was assembled using found images, objects and original photography.

Goldwell Museum 20th Anniversary Celebration

Goldwell Open Air Museum celebrated the 20th anniversary of its funding the weekend of October 15-17, 2004 with a host of events in Beatty and Rhyolite including the premiere of "Death Valley Project" and a panel on art-making in the desert.
