This is a one-of-a-kind experience taking you well and truly off the beaten track. Our 45-minute walking tour will give you a new understanding of why the desert is the perfect location for large-scale artwork. Building on Nevada’s land-art heritage, Goldwell is home to some must-see artworks, the most iconic of which is The Last Supper by founding artist Albert Szukalski. It enthralls art lovers and ghost hunters alike.
You’ll also encounter a giant steel penguin and the story of Shorty Harris, the original miner who found a rock enriched with gold which led to the establishment of the now Ghost Town of Rhyolite. Come out to Goldwell to discover iconic and contemporary art alongside the history that made the region and Death Valley famous. This totally unique experience is offered monthly from October to May 2026-27.
